Former Malaybalay City Mayor Nicolas Jurolan to face incumbent vice mayor in 2010
MALAYBALAY CITY NEWS – Former Malaybalay City Mayor Nicolas “Nick Nick” Jurolan is reportedly set to gun for the mayoralty seat in next year’s national elections. Jurolan, who served as this city’s chief executive from 1992 to 2001, will face incumbent Malaybalay City Vice Mayor Ignacio “Inaki” Zubiri. Zubiri has been vocal in his intentions of running for city mayor in May 2010.
Jurolan ran in the last elections but lost to incumbent Mayor Florencio T. Flores, Jr. Flores is on his third term. No word yet if Flores will run for congressman or vice mayor.
In a text message sent to Bukidnon Online, Flores said that he has not made up his mind yet. “Wala pang decision,” he said.
