The ruling political party in the country, President Rodrigo Duterte’s Partido Demokratiko Pilipino – Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban), has again confirmed the candidacy of Atty. John Flores as their official bet for the Bukidnon District 2 Congressional seat and the party’s support for him and the rest of Team Flores.

This, after Flores and the rest of the PDP-Laban Malaybalay candidates were invited to a grand rally in Cagayan de Oro City last March 24, 2019 and to have official photos taken with President Duterte.

“I am deeply grateful for this official acknowledgment from the PDP Laban, from Senator Koko Pimentel and of course, from no less than President Rodrigo Duterte himself,” Flores stressed.

“To have this kind of trust and support from our party leaders is humbling. I am taking it as a challenge to introduce much-needed reforms in Bukidnon District 2 and to continue best practices especially those spearheaded by my father. Enough of the politicking and misinformation. I am ready to serve with sincerity and a “let’s get the job done” attitude,” he added.

Flores is the second son of Congressman Doc Boy Flores. The young lawyer, who studied elementary and high school in then Bukidnon State College, is a successful businessman and has been serving as the legal adviser and political officer of the congressional office of his father. He is also a longtime partner of prestigious law firm Europa, Dacanay, Cubelo, Europa and Flores.

Considered a fast rising star in Bukidnon politics, Flores wants to offer a fresh, clean, sincere and honest campaign.

“Whatever I have achieved as of now, I achieved through sheer hard work, dedication and perseverance. I used to be a working student. I worked my way up. These are the very same values I want to encourage my fellow residents in Bukidnon to have. I know that together we will move Bukidnon to greater heights,” Flores said.

Bukidnon District 2 comprises of the City of Malaybalay and the municipalities of Impasugong, Cabanglasan, Lantapan and San Fernando.

During the rally in Cagayan de Oro, Duterte also endorsed the official senatorial candidates of the party.
