Dengue cases in Bukidnon increase by 1000 percent – DOH
This is very alarming news. The Department of Health Region 10 office has reportedly identified Bukidnon as a “dengue hot spot.” This, after allegedly noting a 1,000 percent increase in dengue cases in a mere month! Now I don’t mean to sound like an alarmist but really, this is pretty scary news to me. I can’t help but ask — what has our government been doing?!
DOH Regional Office surveillance unit chief Dr. David Mendoza was quoted as saying that 517 dengue cases were recorded in the big hospitals, compared with 47 cases recorded in the same month last year.
Reportedly, the regional health office is not conducting data clustering in the province.
