Central Mindanao University prof almost loses life saving his pet dogs

Musuan, Maramag Bukidnon – Prof. Conrado Duque, Jr., a faculty member of the College of Arts and Sciences at the Central Mindanao University, Musuan, Maramag Bukidnon save the lives of his dogs after a fire gutted into their home and three other residential houses inside the university campus last June 13, 2010 at around 10 in the evening. With this incident, Duque suffered a 1st – 2nd degree burns on both legs and is now recuperating in the hospital.
On an interview with this paper, Dugue said that he was already out of their house, safe when he heared their dog, a Japanese spitz and a duchean in bread barking inside their burning house. Without second thoughts, he rescued the dogs, risking his life because he cant bear to see them burn into ashes.
On a press conference called for by Dr. Medino Yebron, Professor at the College of Veterinary Medicine of the Central Mindanao University and a Volunteer for Networks of Animals at the hospital where Duque is still confined, he gave a plaque of Distinction and Ten Thousand Pesos from the Network for Animals to help in the hospital Bills, witnessed by media practitioners both print and broadcast for his heroic act in saving the lives of their two pet dogs.
