Bukidnon State University president now also OIC of Central Mindanao University
MARAMAG, BUKIDNON | CAMPUS | BUKIDNON NEWS | PERSONALITIES – Bukidnon State University (BSU) President Dr. Victor Barroso is now wearing two hats.
The president of this university in Bukidnon, which is located at Malaybalay City, has recently been appointed as officer in charge (OIC) of Central Mindanao University (CMU) located at Maramag, Bukidnon. Barroso’s appointment was made by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
This development comes following former CMU OIC Dr. Rodrigo Malunhao’s illness. Malunhao reportedly had a stroke.
Incidentally, Malunhao replaced former CMU President Dr. Mardonio Lao, who died last year.
Barroso’s appointment is perfectly legal, sources say. Based on CHED’s regulations, the president of the nearest state university or college can become the temporary OIC. Barroso reports at CMU in the morning and then he proceeds to BSU in the afternoon.
