Bukidnon State University opens botanical garden, herbarium in honor of Flores couple
The Bukidnon State University main campus along Fortich Street, Malaybalay City recently unveiled a botanical garden and herbarium in honor of Dr. Florencio M. Flores, Sr. and his wife, Vicenta Tadiar-Flores, parents of incumbent Malaybalay City Mayor Florencio Flores, Jr. and grandparents of incumbent Bukidnon 2nd District Congressman Atty. John Flores.
The Flores couple was known to be active in the community. They helped the Lumads (indigenous peoples) especially through medical missions.
Other members of the Flores clan were also present to witness the unveiling ceremony.
