Bukidnon gov’s mother passes away
BUKIDNON NEWS | BUKIDNON UPDATE – The mother of Bukidnon Governor Alex Calingasan has passed away. Ophelia Padua Calingasan, “Pingging” to her friends, died early this month because of lung cancer. She was 78 years old. Pingging and husband Ernesto have 8 children. The Bukidnon Governor is the eldest among the siblings.
Governor Alex used to be the mayor of the Municipality of Libona. He then served as vice governor of Bukidnon for 3 terms. Last May, he was elected as Bukidnon Governor. He replaced Jose Ma. Zubiri, who is now the vice governor of the province.
