Bukidnon governor endorses Nacionalista Party standard bearer Manny Villar

So Bukidnon Online’s source was right on the money all along. Bukidnon Gov. Jose Zubiri, Jr., a longtime LAKAS CMD KAMPI party official, has shifted allegiance and has now endorsed the presidential candidacy of Nacionalista Party standard bearer Sen. Manny Villar.

Zubiri endorsed Villar before thousands of people during the recently concluded Malaybalay City Charter Day Celebration. Zubiri’s endorsement also comes just a few days after he publicly endorsed LAKAS CMD KAMPI party’s presidential candidate Gilbert “Gibo” Teodoro during the Kaamulan Festival 2010.

In a TV report, Teodoro expressed his dismay over the shift and said that the party may soon come up with the appropriate measures to address this development.

Bukidnon Online first divulged the possibility of Zubiri and the rest of the Bukidnon LAKAS CMD KAMPI party allegiance shift a few weeks ago. According to our source, Zubiri has called all Bukidnon mayors for a meeting and that part of the agenda was their transfer of allegiance from Teodoro to Villar.

However, when Bukidnon Online contacted Sen. Juan Miguel Zubiri, the younger Zubiri quickly debunked the talks.
