BPP chooses lawyer Tan to Malaybalay council
The Bukidnon Paglaum Party (BPP) has chosen to appoint local lawyer Atty. Luis “Chito” Tan to serve at the Malaybalay City council.
Bukidnon 4th District congressional aspirant Atty. Oliver Owen “Babba” Garcia of BPP said that Tan, who has a law office located along Fortich Street, Malaybalay, will serve the remaining term left behind by now-Malaybalay Vice Mayor Estelito “Litoy” Marabe.
Marabe, who was the #1 councilor during the 2019 elections, is now the Vice Mayor. This, after Malaybalay Mayor Florencio Flores, Jr. passed away and then Vice Mayor Jay Warren Pabillaran took over.
Garcia also said that it was the local BPP’s decision to choose Tan. In this case, it was BPP Malaybalay that chose to appoint the lawyer.
BPP President and incumbent Bukidnon 3rd District Congressman Manuel “Manoy” Zubiri, who is gunning for the Bukidnon gubernatorial seat this May 9, 2022 elections, said that he fully “trusts the BPP Malaybalay officers.”
“I empower my fellow BPP officers and members by allowing them to choose. Besides, it will be them who will be working alongside Atty. Tan,” Zubiri said.
