Lumad school put up in Malaybalay, more around Bukidnon soon
A school for our indigenous peoples (IP) or Lumad brothers and sisters has been established and will soon operate in Nasuli, Bangcud, Malaybalay City and more schools will be set up around Bukidnon.
Last June 2, 2016, Department of Education Secretary Armin Luistro graced the opening of the Luyungan IP High School as well as the 39 new public schools for Lumads in Region 10. Among the schools is the one in Nasuli. Twenty three (23) of the said 39 schools will be established in Valencia City and in 10 other Bukidnon municipalities. According to a Philippine Information Agency – Bukidnon report, the remaining 16 will be established in Iligan, Gingoog, Balingasag and Claveria.
The event in Nasuli carried the theme: “Katutubong Edukasyon Tungo sa Matagumpay na Buhay.”
