MARAMAG BUKIDNON | BUKIDNON NEWS – A road accident in Maramag, Bukidnon resulted in the death of one Robert Empoy. Seven others sustained injuries. The accident, which happened yesterday, Thursday, at around 5 in the afternoon, was between a passenger bus and a pick-up truck. If I’m not mistaken, the passenger bus was owned by Pabama Transport.

Robert Empoy, incidentally, was neither a passenger nor a driver. Instead, he was merely walking along the highway at Purok Uno, Barangay Dologon, Maramag, Bukidnon when he was hit by a Nissan pick-up truck. The truck was hit by the Pabama bus.

Those injured were identified as Zutia Orlanda, Romeo Cabaneles, Dulzura Magallanes, Aner Ariola, Kenneth Sorela, Catleen Orlanda and baby Vanessa Ariola.

The passenger bus driver has surrendered to the police. Authorities say he will be charged with reckless imprudence resulting in homicide and multiple physical injuries.
