Fire broke out in Valencia City, Bukidnon past midnight Friday and killed around 5 people. According to a news report, 5 people were killed and several others were injured after a massive fire razed a residential area in Valencia City, Bukidnon past midnight Friday.

Authorities identified the victims as Alfred Villaver, Kate Roca, Maria Lynie Siarop, Lesfraime Siarop and Jessica Gomez.

Among those injured in the fire were Maximo Flores, Thelma Flores and John Carlo Flores.

According to the Bureau of Fire Protection in Valencia, 12 residential and commercial establishments near the City Hall were affected by the fire.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire that cost an estimated P12 million in damages.
